On the ancient hill of Carnageeragh,
where Presbyterian worship has been maintained continuously
for over three centuries, stands the architecturally
unique First Kilraughts Presbyterian Church. It is a
modern building, an octagon in white supporting a graceful
copper-tipped spire, which has already become a landmark
in the North Antrim countryside. Very different in style
from the large rectangular structure which formerly
occupied the site, the distinctive church building is
clearly intended to capture the imagination of the generations
still to come.
